(Primarily hammered dulcimer instructors, but also other instruments instructed at our festivals.)
  • Guy George -- Guy has been coming to Evart several years, and is an EXCELLENT instructor and performer. His website includes not just his recordings, but also some instructional material

  • Les Raber -- He was a true "Michigan Treasure," as designated by the State Legislature! Although we lost Les, we still enjoy several lovely tunes including "Willow Waltz" and "Sophrina," which he wrote. He was a musicians' musician, a fiddler who earned our respect and admiration.

  • Judi Morningstar -- She's one classy lady who has more talent than should be allowed. Check out her website. Her Ruffwater Fake Book is used by nearly every dulcimer club in Michigan. It's a "must have".

  • Ruffwater Stringband -- The Olde Michigan Ruffwater Stringband is a unique blend of talent and unique, lively entertaining style. Formed in 1978, they are a Michigan tradition.

  • Bill Robinson -- A charming, multi-talented performer and composer

  • Peggy Carter -- Peggy teaches a maximum number of classes (both hammered and mountain dulcimer) at our ODPC Funfest.

  • Kendra Ward and Bob Bence -- Both Kendra and Bob are popular instructors. Kendra on hammered and mountain dulcimer and Bob on Guitar. They also run a up-tempo jam.

  • Rick Thum -- The first Funfest instructor to routinely attract 100 students to his classes.

  • Dee Dee Tibbits -- One of the most versatile musicians you can imagine. She plays everything. She's also part of the celtic group "Sonas."

  • Doug Berch -- Plays hammered dulcimer and builds and plays mountain dulcimers.

  • David James -- He's made a name for himself in Ireland (as the all Irish Dulcimer Champion) as well as the U.S.

  • Mark Wade -- He has the "wow" factor. He's a university level music instructor.

  • Dan Landrum -- Dan played with Yanni for many years giving wonderful exposure to the hammered dulcimer. In addition to his playing, he's now owner of Dulcimer Players' News.

  • Brian Hefferan -- If the ukulele is your instrument, Brian will wow you. If it isn't your instrument now, it soon will be.

  • Kaiser Family Band -- This young family performs brilliantly and Kelly has instructed fiddle classes
